Salmon Falls Stoneware

Salmon Falls Pottery has been a classic American tradition for over 20 years. Those of us who produce Salmon Falls Stoneware carry on a tradition of pottery making that became popular in America in the mid' eighteen hundreds. Each pot is individually made, hand decorated with traditional or country design, and fired in a gas kiln to 2,300 degrees Fahrenheit.

Salmon Falls Stoneware is lead free - microwave, oven, dishwasher, and freezer safe. It's perfect for baking and tough enough for every day use. Enjoy, but heed a few cautions.

1) Don't use stoneware for broiling or stovetop cooking.
2) Dinnerware and serving pieces are oven-safe for warming but not for baking.
3) Use a hot pad or mitt when removing stoneware from the oven or microwave.
4) Guard against sudden changes in temperature. When you remove a stoneware dish from the refrigerator or freezer, bring it to room temperature before putting it in the oven. And don't put a hot pot in cold water.
5) The bottom of any stoneware may be rough. Sand it to smooth out the rough spots. Be sure to set it on something to protect a fine surface.
