Baroque
- A beauty in both sight and sound, Porter's Baroque Music Box features an
inlay design of the early classic style. Musical instruments embellish the
lid, front and side panels. Unlike more modern and simple styles, classic
early inlay features painstaking and delicate hand decorating. Each inlay
design is registered and copyrighted exclusively by Porter Music Box
Company, Inc.
Every Baroque instrument contains two of Porter's own combs, each with 76
teeth that play the richest, fullest music imaginable from an instrument
this size. The complete, spring-wound clockworks which drive a 15
1/2" copper-plated disc are also manufactured in our shop to the
strictest standards. A gentle winding will provide 20 minutes of
uninterrupted music, showcasing five octaves and a dazzling harmonic
range. The convenience of an optional electric motor is often preferred to
hand winding.
Production of the Limited Series will be suspended after 150 instruments
are created. Each will be labeled with a certified serial number.

Swan
Elite - While both models
I and II play 12 1/4" discs, the Elite I is fitted with a single comb
and the Elite II with dual combs. The 54 teeth of each comb provide the
music box with its distinctive sweet voice and full range of four octaves.
Powered by a spring-wound motor, both the Swan Elite I and II delight for
up to 15 minutes with every winding. The convenience of an electric motor
is available. A Matching Cabinet is available. Featuring inlays of swans
and instruments, the Swan Elite Disc Cabinet adds the finishing touch to
your Swan Elite Music Box. It contains a drawer for storing extra discs
and the crank handle. A shelf near the bottom of the elegantly curved legs
is also inlaid with matching motifs.

Disc - Beyond question,

recorded from the Porter family's own Twin Disc instrument.
The handsome exterior features the same exquisite wood inlays and elegant
styling distinguished on Porter's other models, making this box as
beautiful to view as it is to hear.
The unique stereo sound of the Porter Twin Disc is the product of four
musical combs, playing a total of 304 teeth on two carefully synchronized
15 1/2" copper-plated discs specially crafted to ensure consonance.
The fine clockworks also exemplify a unique Porter design, synchronizing
each musical bedplate for optimum performance in every 20-minute winding.
A unique soundboard is responsible for each instrument's rich tone.
Soundboards are so essential, in fact, Porter's own Twin Disc is custom
fitted with three to enhance the quality of recordings and capture the
thrilling harmonies of five octaves in exact stereo--the unmistakable
